The Hollywood Reporter: An Inside Look at Backstage Swag for Emmy Presenters
The Hollywood Reporter provides an inside look at the swag at the Official Emmy Gift Suite:
One of the entertainment industry’s most trusted trade publications, The Hollywood Reporter, provides a behind the scenes look at the Official Emmy Gift Suite, benefiting the Television Academy Foundation and produced by Backstage Creations.
“Some of the stars who are presenting–and thus are invited to come by Backstage Creations’ suite this year–include Viola Davis, Melissa McCarthy, Anthony Anderson, Tracee Ellis Ross, Chris Hardwick, Allison Janney, Emmy Rossum, Craig Robinson, Gina Rodriguez, Gabrielle Union and Debra Messing.
Note everyone can leave the Emmy Awards on Sunday with something shiny in their hands, but this year’s presenters certainly will have an opportunity to carry off something of value. Making sure those who get also have a chance to give, Backstage Creations is back producing the official Giving Suite at the 69th Emmy Awards this weekend.
Beginning Saturday, presenters and nominees will be able to choose from a collection of luxury gifts as the lounge also pulls double duty by serving as a Giving Suite. That means TV stars who participate will help raise $150,000 in donations to support the Television Academy Foundation.
Launched in 1959 as the charitable arm of the Television Academy, the org’s mission is to engage and educate the next generation of television leaders. Its programs include a Student Internship Program, the annual College Television Awards and The Interviews: An Oral History of Television project.
This year’s roster of Emmy presenters includes Viola Davis, Melissa McCarthy, Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Anthony Anderson, Tracee Ellis Ross, Dolly Parton, Chris Hardwick, Anna Farris, Allison Janney, Jeremy Piven, Emmy Rossum, Craig Robinson, Gina Rodriguez, Gabrielle Union, Adam Scott, Shemar Moore, and Debra Messing among others.”
